Conscience. Character. Commitment.
Colasante for Cranston.
Hi, I'm John Colasante. I'm running for Cranston City Council Ward 2.
I am a third-generation Cranston business owner, operating Michelangelo's Deli and Catering, which was founded by my father on Pontiac Avenue. The business is situated in Pontiac Plaza, built by my late grandfather, John F. Colasante, in 1986. Though I grew up in Richmond, RI, my early life was centered around my father's business in Cranston. I have been a proud Cranston resident since 2016.
I bring to the table years of experience operating a small business in the heart of Cranston. This has given me a unique perspective within the community, where I am directly invested in the success of its economy and my neighbors.
I am a trained musician, songwriter, and avid runner, having most recently completed the Newport Marathon and Providence Half Marathon.
Dear Neighbors,
I believe it is our duty to serve our neighbors, whether you hold a public office or not. Focusing on a thriving local economy, community partnerships with our public safety officials, and supporting our educational system are the keys to preserving the city of Cranston. It would be my great honor to serve you, neighbor. Together we can continue to make Cranston a great city that is an example to our neighboring cities and a place we are all proud to call home.
